Website Review #1

w3schools.com

  1. Does the site's home page validate?
  2. When I tried to validate the home page of the website, I got 6 errors and 3 warnings so the sites home page did not validate.

  3. Find any other page on the site. Does the second page validate?
  4. When I tried to validate the learn HTML page, the validator found 22 errors so this was not validated.

  5. Document how many validation errors and/or warnings may exist on each of the two pages you validate.
  6. There were 6 errors and 3 warnings on the home page and 5 warnings and 17 errors on the learn HTML page.

  7. How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?
  8. I would rate the design a 8/10 because it looks well organized but the text and layout of the website can be more pleasing to look at and maybe they could add some more color.

  9. How would you rate the site's usability on a scale of 1 (horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?
  10. I would rate it a 9/10 becuause it does a good job of breaking all the topics down and allowing you to try some excercises on each of the topics. It could use some more visually pleasing text but very organized

  11. Does the site meet its purpose?
  12. The website did meet its purpose if its purpose is to teach how to code in several different languages. They have helpful hints if you are stuck and do a good job at positive reinforcement when you're code is correct.
