The name of the site I reviewed was Developer.mozilla.org and the URL is https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Glossary/Progressive_Enhancement
Progressive Enhancement is a philosophy of web development that focuses on the essential content and functionality so that it can be used by as many users as possible. It then delivers the best experience to those who have the best browsers and equipment that can run the required code.
They are needed when a user does not have the required specs, or their internet is not fast enough to run the code or website. It gives the best functionality possible.
The site's home page does not validate.
I tried to validate the notifications page and this page did not validate either.
The home page has a total of 6 warnings and 5 errors. The notifications page has 1 error and 4 warnings.
The design of the site is very bland with no color or images. This is not always bad because this site is meant for people to read and learn about different web development topics. I give the design a 9 out of 10.
The site's usability is good and easy to navigate through the links available to you. It could have a better navigation bar and maybe some more color around the borders, but it seems like this site it well tailored to the people that it was made for. I would give the usability an 8 out of 10.
The site thoroughly describes Progressive Enhancement and why it is important, so it does meet its purpose of educating readers.
